Are Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra the new BFFs?
In an industry riddled with strife over one-upmanship, it is quite heartening to hear about actresses stopping to share a hug or even two kind words together. And Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra did just that.
At a recent awards nomination party, Deepika and Priyanka apparently hung out together. Onlookers even remarked they were getting along “like a house on fire”.
A source says, “It was surprising since boh the actresses have been linked with Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika used to date Ranbir and during the shoot of Anjaana Anjaani, there were rumours of Priyanka seeing the actor. But looks like all that is a thing of the past now.”
Incidentally, both the actresses are the faces of the same skin care brand.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (born 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress and producer who works in Hindi films. One of the highest-paid actresses in India, her accolades include three Filmfare Awards. She features in listings of the nation’s most popular personalities, and Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
Padukone, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager, she played badminton in national level championships but left her career in the sport to become a fashion model. She soon received offers for film roles and made her acting debut in 2006 as the title character of the Kannada film Aishwarya. Padukone then played a dual role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her first Bollywood release, the romance Om Shanti Om (2007), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise for her starring role in the romance Love Aaj Kal (2009), but this was followed by a brief setback.
BFF – Best friends forever
A BFF is a term for someone’s best friend or close friend. and are characterized by trust, and permanence irrespective of the number of times the meaning of friendship has been changed in your life. BFFs are usually in close contact and have shared experiences, such as attending the same school or sharing musical tastes. Relationships described as BFF are common in high school & middle school and often decline when the parties go to college. The term BFF does not necessarily convey exclusivity; depending on a person’s individual interpretation or philosophy of the concept of “BFF”, an individual may not have more than one BFF simultaneously.
BFF Origin
Although the concept of having or being a “best friend” is ageless, the acronym BFF was popularized as a quick way for friends to sign off and express their positive feelings for one another while instant-messaging (IM-ing) on the computer or sending a text message on cell phones.
The acronym “BFF” was added to the New Oxford American Dictionary on 16 September 2010. The Oxford English Dictionary documents a use of BFF in 1987.
