Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor get into a catfight?
Perhaps learning from their mistake, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor recently turned down an offer to appear on a popular chat show. The producers were even ready to pay them big bucks to make an appearance on the show. However, both the girls declined the offer saying they were ready to appear on it individually.

A source reveals, “They got huge flack for their appearance on ‘Koffee with Karan’. That episode got them both lof of negative publicity. And even though they both have moved on and matured from that experience, they still are not ready to take that risk. Sonam and Deepika used to hang out and be friends at that period, but it isn’t the same anymore. In fact Sonam is not even friends with her ex co-star Ranbir Kapoor anymore.”

After the Koffee with Karan episode aired, Ranbir and his family, especially dad Rishi Kapoor was quite shocked that both the girls had gone on record to say unpleasant things about his son. He was even peeved with Karan for letting them say those things. However Johar personally met and apologised to him and later the two worked together in ‘Student of the Year’. Close friends reveal that it is very unlikely that Sonam and Deepika will be seen on the same platform chatting up in public space ever again.

Kapoor, the daughter of actor Anil Kapoor, began her career as an assistant director on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2005 highly acclaimed drama Black. She later made her acting debut in Bhansali’s romantic drama Saawariya (2007), a box office flop, and had her first commercial successes with the romantic comedy I Hate Luv Storys (2010) and the ensemble romantic comedy-drama Aisha (2010). However, this was followed by a series of commercial failures and repetitive roles, which garnered her negative reviews. Kapoor had her biggest commercial successes with supporting roles in the biopics Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) and Sanju (2018), and a leading role in the romance Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015); the latter two rank among the highest-grossing Bollywood films. Her highly acclaimed portrayal of Neerja Bhanot in the 2016 biographical thriller Neerja won her the National Film Award – Special Mention and a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress, and she followed it with a starring role in the 2018 female buddy film Veere Di Wedding, both of which rank among the highest-grossing female-led Hindi films.
