First look: Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Here’s the first look of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The chemistry is very much working for the two and the poster looks quite vibrant. Deepika and Ranbir look cheerful in the poster with splashes of colour all over them. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is an upcoming romantic film directed by Ayan Mukerji under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, who star in their second film together after Bachna Ae Haseeno. Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin will play supporting roles.

Director Ayan Mukerji is going to great lengths to wrap up his upcoming film, Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani, which will mark the reunion of former couple Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor on the big screen.
Earlier this week, the Wake Up Sid (2009) director was supposed to shoot some scenes for his next on a local train at Churchgate station. However, only hours before the schedule, he was informed that the railway authorities had not granted him the required permission to shoot there.

Karan Johar has had a successful 2012 with Agneepath, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Student Of The Year faring well at the box office, but the filmmaker will begin the next year with a slight niggle.
Karan, who was set to release his next production, Ayan Mukerji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead, has now pushed the film’s release date from March 29 to May 31.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (transl. This youth is crazy) is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, written by Mukerji and Hussain Dalal, and produced by Karan Johar. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in their second film together after 2008’s Bachna Ae Haseeno. Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur play supporting roles. Madhuri Dixit appears in an item number with Ranbir Kapoor. Initially set for a March 2013 release, the film was released on 31 May 2013. Upon release, it was a box office success. It was a very popular film amongst the youth. Since its release in 2013, the film has gone on to achieve cult status. In the 59th Filmfare Awards, the film received the highest number of nominations (nine) including Best Film, Best Actor for Kapoor, Best Direction for Mukherji, Best Supporting Actor for Kapoor, Best Supporting Actress for Koechlin and soon. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has become one of the highest grossing Indian films of all time. It was the third film to cross ₹3 billion worldwide after 3 Idiots & Ek tha Tiger. It was also the tenth highest grossing Bollywood film in overseas markets at the time of release.
