The first Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2013 winners
The Times of India Film Awards (also known as TOIFA Awards) are presented by The Times of India to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Hindi language film industry of India. The awards were first introduced in 2013. The second edition of the award was held at Dubai on 18 March 2016.
The Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) held in Vancouver, British Columbia from April 4-6, this year. The awards was annually held at diverse international destinations, thus, taking the charm of Hindi cinema overseas.Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan unveiled The Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) and its trophy at a grand ceremony in Mumbai on Tuesday night.

Mumbai, February 8, 2013: Honoring the best from Hindi Cinema, The Times of India Film Awards today announced the opening of its global voting and nominations for the first edition of its awards that will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from April 4 – April 6, 2013. Presenting a one-of-its kind global and democratic award function, Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) will honor and reward excellence in Hindi Cinema while taking the awards to international shores.
Hindi Cinema fans from across the world can now vote for their favorite stars on the official website www.toifa.com. Spread across 14 public voting categories, TOIFA will felicitate the finest from the field of acting, directing, music, choreography and scripting. Additionally there will be 12 Technical and Critics awards that will be chosen by the TOIFA jury.
The year 2012 was ruled by interesting film concepts, out of the box technology, powerful screenplay and outstanding performances. The year saw Ranbir Kapoor cement his position as a talented actor with Barfi while Sridevi returned as herself with English Vinglish. Offbeat movies like Paan Singh Tomar and Gangs of Wasseypur created ripples among the audiences along with actors like Ayushamaan Khurana and Arjun Kapoor making impactful debuts.
